Mathieu Fransen
Between 1999 and 2007 Mathieu worked at the Dutch DSO Stedin and from 2007 to 2020 he worked as a Senior electricity market expert with the Dutch energy regulator ACM. In April 2020 Mathieu joined ACER as a policy officer.
Since joining ACM he has been working on a wide range of topics related to European electricity market design and market integration such as the CWE market coupling, Flow Based Capacity Calculation and Long term capacity auctions. After a sabbatical in 2013 he continued the work on the finalization of all the European Network codes with a specific focus on the Electricity Balancing market. From July 2021 Mathieu is leading the Market codes team within ACER’s Electricity Department. The team is responsible for all decisions and recommendations related to the CACM, FCA and EB regulations.
Mathieu holds a Master of Science in Electrical Power Engineering from the University of Delft.
